Mouthpiece Customization & Refacing Service

If you have an existing mouthpiece that you would like refaced or customized, call or email Brad to schedule an appointment. If you can not work with him him in person, he will be happy to work through the mail. His refacing fee is $75.00 per mouthpiece. All other special services, such as beak replacements, will be billed on an hourly basis. Free consultations.

A quality mouthpiece should not only sound great, but it should respond with ease and resonance. It should feel great to play.  Properly balancing the bore, chamber, and facing to the resonance characteristics of the hard rubber are very important in creating an enjoyable playing experience.

As mouthpiece material can only be removed, and not as easily added, Brad’s policy is to employ a series of logical steps to best serve the wishes of the customer while removing the least amount of material from the mouthpiece.

In order to best serve you, all customization services begin with a personal interview between you and Bradford Behn. This is so that he can represent you and your unique set of requirements. The interview may include discussions about your personal playing concept, reeds, and what you desire in a mouthpiece. During the customization process, constant communication and play-testing are present to ensure that your session is on track.
